Gaga over Como
By Diana Kim
16 December 2010

If you want a nothing more than a picture perfect destination, Lake Como is by far the most breathtaking place i've ever set my size 5 foot on. The homes of many italians and of course the rich and famous, the set of 007 and star wars cascading down the mountains of the shore is picturesque and a lovers dream. I literally went gaga over the place.

From Milano centrale to Como s. Giovanni it took about 30 minutes by train and then a short walk to the wharf to take a ferry over to the little towns along the shore... My boyfriend and i took a slow ferry ride to really take in Lake Como. We were staying at Hotel Albergo in Lenno (highly recommended place to stay) which took about 2 hours but it was sooo worth it. I was able to take photos, and admire the 360 degree scenic view.

We spent most of our time there visiting other little villas and towns, eating pizza.. tanning by the poolside under the italian sky and going on leisurely walks...... perfect. Utopic.

Oh i nearly forgot to mention- as much as i love to travel.. like most people, when we travel, we are compelled to shop. i love to shop and ogle over all beautiful things that cover us from head to toe. Well i can tell you now, just 15 minutes away from Lake Como, is Fox town. A huge factory outlet, which just reminded me of a big, beautiful department store with a mark down of 80% off. We like that don't we? And the funny thing is.. what they had on sale was pretty much considered 'new stock' in Sydney... ha! In love!
