Scandinavian Shopping
By Diana Kim

Scandinavia.. and in my "travel tale" case, Stockholm, is known for their simplicity.

One of the biggest reasons for why i love shopping in Stockholm is that the Swdes embrace their own designers and offer simple, clean cut, everyday looks. You hardly see any free standing international brand stores apart from the two major department stores- Ålenes and NK.

The centre of the shopping district in Stockholm has a strip of all the main swedish brands like H&M, Monki and Weekday but you can also take a long- but a lovely walk to Södermalm and Östermalm which offers people a street of quaint boutiques and cafes. One of my favourite Swedish designers and a place i enter and never leave empty is Filippa K and Acne. Filippa K being the more clean, simple lines and Acne, also offering the basics but more edgier and hip.

Shopping in Stockholm was definitely not as fast paced as Paris and London- but thank goodness for that, because it's so tiring. I was able to shop and stroll around the city of stockholm knowing i had weeks there and not days :)
