The Ghosts of Queenstown’s Past
By Therese Bruning
9 October 2011

Queenstown cemetery is next door to the Skyline Complex, so is actually very close to town. A strange topic for a blog you may think, but there is something about cemeteries, especially old ones, that I find peaceful & calming and for some reason just fascinating.

It may be the beautiful sculptures on gravesites that help make up the final tribute to loved ones, or just the small insight to the lives & history of those who have passed away many years before – both young & old.

Situated on a hilly slope with The Remarkables as a backdrop, it’s a serene & picturesque place to have a quiet wander through & soak up some of the history of Queenstown.
