On Your Bike to Konstanz
By Gerard Tellam
31 May 2012

Bike ride from Chur to Konstanz, a total of 155 Kms.
Most enjoyable bike ride that took me alongside the flowing Rhine River taking in the scenic countryside, views of the snow capped mountains, the farms and the local villages. Scenes that were depictive of nature in its glory.
Stayed overnight at Triensberg Liechtenstein which is a place strategically located high up in the mountains. The accommodation provided me with spectacular views of the mountains, the valley below and the Rhine River itself. Truly memorable. Next stop on the way was Rorschach. A very picturesque town set on the shores of Lake Konstanz.
Then it was on to Konstanz. Enjoyed a relaxing boat ride on the lake taking in the views of the lake, the mountains, the breezes, the yachts, the boats, wind surfers and lakeside villages etc. Even enjoyed a glass of local Rhine Riesling along the way. My Alpine Rhine tour was a truly memorable and an experience I would highly recommend.
